Why is your name Hibernation?
Just as a bear curls up in his den for the winter, we like to curl up next to our woodstove when its cold. We like to think that we don’t just sell stoves, we provide a cozy place when it’s time to “Hibernate”.
Where are you located?
We are nestled in the heart of the Sierra Foothills, in East Sonora. Our address is 14697 Mono Way, Sonora.
What are your hours?
We are open Monday-Friday 9:30-5:00 and Saturday 10:00-3:00
How long have you been in business?
We just celebrated our 30th year in business! We opened in June of 1986.
Do you offer consumer financing?
We are proud to offer consumer financing. We can get most anyone pre-qualified within minutes.
What brands do you carry?
It’s a long list! The stove brands we carry are: Lopi, Fireplace-X, Vermont Castings, Majestic, and Hearthstone. We carry Sundance Spas and Leisure time spa chemicals. We also offer a variety of hearth products: hearth pads, tool sets, log holders and carriers, cleaning products, and screens. We also carry Big Green Egg smokers and accessories. Our gifts, home decor, and jewelry are ever-changing with today’s latest trends.
Do you install stoves?
Yes we do! Our highly-qualified install team will install any stove we sell safely and efficiently. If you have an existing stove that you would like us to install, please call us for more information. We take these installations on a case-by-case basis.
Do you service stoves and spas?
We sure do. Our technician has been with us for over 25 years and has extensive field experience and knowledge of all the products we carry. We will service any spa or stove brand that we carry. (see above for brands we carry)
When do you perform stove cleanings?
We perform gas, wood or pellet stove cleanings in the spring through late summer.
When do you offer Sales?
Our biggest sale of the year is in the spring (usually April or May). We also usually have a mid-summer sale on stoves and spas. We have a Christmas Open House in November where we will have specials on our gifts, décor, and jewelry.
